shwits* [sh wits] noun, plural

Definition: the combination of Shane and Whitney

Origin: Mr. Brian Sufrinko; circa 2013, Pittsburgh, PA

Example Usage: I’m meeting my Shwits for dinner tonight.

Related forms: Shwit-tastic, shwitty

*with tagline credit to Ms. Kelsey Crosson

We did it! On May 26th, 2014 the Shwits moved to the Netherlands!

After leaving Pittsburgh, the city we fell in love with, we are embarking on a 4 year journey to Groningen while Shane pursues his PhD. We wanted an easy way to share our stories with friends and family so we will be chronicling our adventures here.  Along the way, we hope to give a little insight as to what it is like to move internationally, to share some of our experiences as we (hopefully) travel around Europe, to let Shane keep everyone up-to-date on his comings and goings of research, and give Whitney an outlet to share way too many pictures of our cat, Meatball (if you don’t know Meatball yet, don’t worry, you will).

Welcome, we hope you enjoy the ride!
